{"cve":"CVE-2014-125116","nvd":{"published":"2025-07-25T16:15:26.053","modified":"2026-06-17T00:04:29.667","status":"Deferred","description":"A remote code execution vulnerability exists in HybridAuth versions 2.0.9 through 2.2.2 due to insecure use of the install.php installation script. The script remains accessible after deployment and fails to sanitize input before writing to the application’s config.php file. An unauthenticated attacker can inject arbitrary PHP code into config.php, which is later executed when the file is loaded. This allows attackers to achieve remote code execution on the server. Exploitation of this issue will overwrite the existing configuration, rendering the application non-functional.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":9.3},"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":["CWE-306","CWE-434"],"references":["https://hybridauth.github.io/","https://raw.githubusercontent.com/rapid7/metasploit-framework/master/modules/exploits/unix/webapp/hybridauth_install_php_exec.rb","https://vulners.com/metasploit/MSF:EXPLOIT-UNIX-WEBAPP-HYBRIDAUTH_INSTALL_PHP_EXEC-","https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/34273","https://www.exploit-db.com/exploits/34390"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:05:46.678065081+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2014-125116","score":0.02675,"percentile":0.85787,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
