Exposing the EC2_ACCESS_KEY via http or tools that allow man-in-the-middle over https could allow an attacker to easily obtain the EC2_SECRET_KEY. An attacker could also presumably brute force values for EC2_ACCESS_KEY.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":5.9},"cwes":["CWE-200"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/cve-2011-4076","https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/868360","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=CVE-2011-4076","https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/CVE-2011-4076","https://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2011/10/25/4"],"products":["openstack:nova"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T20:59:25.448946135+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2011-4076","score":0.01458,"percentile":0.73541,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-vcmv-6rxx-fh7r","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-vcmv-6rxx-fh7r","summary":"OpenStack Nova Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor","modified":"2026-07-06T08:11:25.842143637Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"nova","purl":"pkg:pypi/nova","ranges":["<12.0.0a0"],"fixed":["12.0.0a0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-691","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-691","summary":"OpenStack Nova Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor","modified":"2026-07-06T08:00:47.583130729Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"nova","purl":"pkg:pypi/nova","ranges":["<12.0.0a0"],"fixed":["12.0.0a0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
